Twins vs. Tigers 9/25/10

The Minnesota Twins vs. the Detroit Tigers. Last series at home before the end of the season. Back at Comerica Park, the last time we came was earlier in the summer. Very different games, standings wise and weather wise. The summer game: very hot and sunny. This game: cold and cloudy. Bought these tickets shortly after we went to the summer game, hoping the team would be in some sort of race to the playoffs. But unfortunately that wasn't the case, the Twins had already clinched our division and we were totally out of the running. But that doesn't mean we still can't go and support our team! And that's what we did :)

Bonderman was the starting pitcher. 1st inning, gave up a grand slam... It was already 5-0. But, I had faith in my team and they came out swinging. Game went into extra innings. 13 to be exact. Each extra inning was on-the-edge-of-your-seat intense. Hoping for no hits/runs and getting those outs. Bases were loaded, bottom of the 13th. My favorite player, Brandon Inge, was coming up to bat, he hadn't had a very good night, struck out at every bat I believe so it was kind of nerve racking. But I still thought to myself, "this is it, he's going to come up with something".  And he did! He hit a single, and Cabrera came in to score to end the game! A walk-off single!
Here's the team after the walk-off.
Tigers win! What an amazing game to watch. It had some good plays and bad plays, but that's baseball. I was just glad to see such an exciting game and we had so much fun :)
